WHAT TO KNOW
First experience with Anywhere Vision?
Find answers to common questions, below.
Please contact us with any specific questions you may have.

HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT TAKE?
We’ve streamlined our process. You can preview frames online, then virtually meet with our licensed optician via a Pre-Appointment video call. Once we’ve helped you narrow down your frame selection, we’ll bring those, plus a select few similar styles, to your in-person appointment.
WHAT SAFETY MEASURES ARE BEING TAKEN?
At Anywhere Vision, keeping you safe and at low risk is more important now than ever. In addition to reducing the amount of time spent in you home and the number of frames we bring, we now also sterilize all our frames between appointments – both with UVC light, and with disinfectant cleaners.
CAN I USE MY VISION INSURANCE?
We are not accepting insurance at this time. We can, however, provide you with a detailed receipt for you to submit to your insurance provider as an “out-of-network” vendor. Call us for help to determine your coverage.
CAN I ORDER LENSES FOR FRAMES I ALREADY HAVE?
Yes. We can measure your existing frames and order new lenses. Even if your prescription is the same, you can choose a different type of lens. Ask about our variety of quality lens options.
DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION FIRST?
Yes. You’ll need a valid prescription from a licensed eye doctor. If your prescription is more than 1 year old, we recommend getting a new eye exam. It’s best for healthier eyes and the optimal fit of your new glasses. (If you don’t have a doctor, we’d be happy to recommend one in your area.)
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY EYEGLASSES ARE READY?
We’ll contact you when your glasses are ready. You can decide to meet back at the same, or a different, location. Our optician will check your lenses prescription and make sure the frames fit perfectly.
HOW CAN I PAY?
We accept personal checks, credit cards, Healthcare Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Venmo, Zelle, or cash. Payment in full must be made at time of purchase.

MEET OUR OPTICIAN

Putting your trust into the hands of vision care professionals isn’t always easy. it’s especially important to be aware of the risks when NOT working with an optician. Risks include eye measurements that are inaccurate and finished lenses that are not correct.
A recent study showed that almost half of all glasses (44.8%) ordered online had either inaccurate prescriptions or didn’t meet safety standards designed to protect the eyes.

Co-founder and Licensed Optician Gerard Miller, known to everyone as Jerry, shares his expertise in frames and lenses in a personalized customer experience that is unsurpassed. With over 30 years in the optical field, his knowledge and insight in optics and current lens technology creates the trust people are seeking.
Based directly on your doctor’s prescription, Jerry offers different lens options, then measures the new frames precisely to the pupillary centers of your eyes.
CHOOSING LENSES

SINGLE VISION
Single vision is the most common type of prescription lens. They work for people who need to correct one field of vision, either distance or near. The entire lens will have the same correction strength throughout.

BIFOCAL / PROGRESIVE
Bifocals are lenses with two distinct optical powers. Progressive lenses provide distance correction in the top half, and reading correction in the bottom half of the same lens, with an intermediate region in between.

LENS MATERIALS
Standard Plastic is generally used for mild or minimal prescriptions and are good affordable lens option.
Polycarbonate lenses are thinner and lighter, are impact resistant, and provide 100% UV protection.
High Index lenses are an ultra–thin and lightweight alternative to standard index lenses. They reduce the weight of the glasses, and also prevent the “magnifying effect” typically caused by thicker lenses.
