what to know
If it’s your first experience with our Anywhere Vision service, here are some answers to common questions, below. Please contact us with any specific questions you may have.
HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT TAKE?
Usually about an hour. You’ll select frames, choose from specific lens options, and get your measurements taken. Within a week from ordering, we’ll deliver your finished glasses in person.
CAN I USE MY VISION INSURANCE?
We currently do not work directly with insurance providers, but you may be able to submit for partial reimbursement. Contact your provider to get accurate information.
DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION FIRST?
Yes. You’ll need a recent eye exam (within the last 12 month) and a valid prescription from a licensed eye doctor. If your prescription is older than 1 year, we recommend getting a new exam. It’s the best for the health of your eyes, and for getting an optimal fit for your new glasses.
HOW CAN I PAY?
We accept all major credit cards, or use your company “flexplan” health spending card. Payment is required when you place your order.
CAN I ORDER NEW LENSES FOR FRAMES I ALREADY HAVE?
Yes. We can measure your existing frames and order new lenses. Even if your prescription is the same, you can choose a different type of lens. Learn about our variety of quality lens options.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY EYEGLASSES ARE READY?
We’ll contact you when your glasses are ready for delivery. You can decide to meet back at the same, or a different, location. Our optician will check and adjust your new glasses – to make sure they fit perfectly and look great.
Single vision lenses correct one field of vision. The entire lens is made in one strength. Single vision lenses help with either distance or near vision.
BI-FOCAL / TRI-FOCAL
Bi-focal (2 lens powers) or trifocals (3 lens powers) blend 2 or 3 lens strengths within the same lens. They help restore a fuller range of vision – often from loss of reading vision due to presbyopia.
Progressive lenses combine 2 strengths in the same lens to correct for distance (upper area) and for reading (lower area). There is a seamlessly progressive area between both lens strengths.
